Bellatrix Lestrange – nee Black, she was pure-blood witch, Cygnus’s and Druella’s daughter. She had two younger sisters: Andromeda and Narcissa. In Hogwarts she was in Slytherin. Her school life isn’t described in Harry Potter series.
Bella was one of the few female Death Eaters. She married Rodolphus Lestrange, but J.K. Rowling said in one of her interviews that Bellatrix fell in love with Voldemort.
Bella with her husband, his brother Rabastan and another Death Eater, Barty Crouch Jr. tortured Aurors Alice and Frank Longbottom. They wanted them to tell where Voldemort is. Longbottoms went insane, and Death Eaters went to Azkaban, a prison for wizards. After fourteen years she escaped from Azkaban to join Voldemort again.
She killed her cousine, Sirius Black in the Department of Mysteries. After catching Harry, Ron and Hermione she locked them in Malfoy Manor and tortured Hermione. She killed house-elf, Dobby, who came to save his friends.
In Battle of Hogwarts she killed her niece, Nimphadora Tonks, and then was killed by Molly Weasley.
In the film series Bellatrix is portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter.
